FAQ's
Wondering if this is right for your family? Here are the answers you're looking for.
1
"Is this therapy?"
No. I'm not a therapist, and this isn't clinical treatment. InnerFlow provides structured, science-informed coaching and family systems support. Think of it as the bridge between "everything's fine" and "we need intensive intervention."
2
"What if my teen won't participate?"
Many teens are initially resistant. I work with parents first to create the conditions for trust, then gradually involve teens when they're ready. Parent coaching alone can create significant family shifts. There are also numerous ways to help bridge the gap for this particular challenge, including "I am not a therapist or a medical doctor; just a specialist that works with teens and families."
3
"Do you take insurance?"
No. As a non-clinical service, InnerFlow is not insurance-reimbursable. However, many families find the investment comparable to (or less than) ongoing therapy, with the added flexibility of using time exactly when you need it.
4
"How is this different from a life coach?"
I bring PhD-level training in youth development, neuroscience, and systems thinking, combined with functional wellness insight. This isn't motivational coaching—it's comprehensive root-cause analysis and strategic family support.
5
"What if you can't help us?"
During the Discovery Session, I'll assess whether I'm the right fit. If not, I'll provide referrals to appropriate resources at no additional charge. Your $222 investment includes that clarity.
6
"How quickly will we see results?"
Many families report feeling more grounded and hopeful after just the Discovery Session. Measurable changes in behavior, communication, or daily functioning typically emerge within 4-8 weeks of consistent work.
7
"What is fractional time banking and why does it work?"
Traditional coaching and therapy lock you into weekly appointments—whether you need them that week or not. Life doesn't work that way, especially with teens.
Fractional time banking means you purchase hours, not sessions. You can use your time in 15, 30, or 60-minute increments whenever your family actually needs support:
-
Quick check-in when your teen has a rough day? 15 minutes.
-
Strategy session for an upcoming transition? 30 minutes.
-
Deep-dive coaching session? 60 minutes.
Why it works:
-
Flexibility: Use support when crises happen, not just on Tuesdays at 3pm
-
No commitment anxiety: Buy what you need, refill when you're ready
-
Better outcomes: Families get help in real-time, not days later
-
Cost-effective: You're not paying for sessions you don't need
Think of it like a gym membership that only charges you for the minutes you actually work out. You're in control.
